Writing Workshops

Prompt Writing: Experience Spontaneous Creativity! Every Friday at 10 am this small group commits two acts of creative writing, using writing prompts. What is a prompt? It can be a single word, a sentence, a poem, a newspaper article, the title of a book, a rock, artwork. Whatever it is, no-one ever writes the same thing! Prompts are used to write memoirs, flash fiction, poetry, scenes from a story, or just for creative fun.

This workshop is held in the back room at Buddhamouse on Yale Avenue in Claremont, CA. A $5 donation is payable to Buddhamouse, for the space. Facilitated by Judy Kohnen.

California Writers Club, Inland Empire Branch: Every fourth Saturday, local writers gather at the Ovitt Library in Ontario, California. From 10 – 11 am they network by sharing achievements, discussing the ups and downs. From 11 till noon, there is a presentation given by established authors. Guest speakers talk about the writing process and the challenges of publication.

All levels welcome. Come check it out!
